Aero-Spatz
is a
little bigger than both Pit and Dixi 2. It's also a HL (hand launch) glider with flat profiled wing and
tail unit from balsa wood.
Although somewhat larger in
size than Pit and Dixi2, Aero-Spatz can still be made in a single class.
Aero-Spatz
is
a higher level than Dixi2. The step up in modelling expertise is the
fact it has a T shaped tail. The instructions show how to rest the
fuselage upside down so the T tail rests flat on the table, keeping it
level while glue sets.
This means an introduction to using a small
jig-stand (included) and/or pins to hold a model in place while gluing. The
basic use of jigs during assembly is the new level of expertise in this
nice model.
Once this principle is learned, modellers know how to make their own
jig to make many difficult assembly problems easier to do.
The easy
structure and large flight stability makes it easy for the beginner to
come to excellent flight performances. This graceful designed model is
supplied with sections, structural drawing, building instructions and
test flight notes.
Aero-Spatz is a perfect first flying model to make.
