Ruined Castle, Old Head of Kinsale, Co Cork - a South - West facing slope

Access to sea-most tip of Kinsale Head where the famous Golf Course is located is difficult.  This slope soaring location is not actually on the Head itself where they play golf, but at the ruined castle tower before you get to it.

To fly here - launch off the slope and fly. There is no convenient landing place right at the launch place, but permission exists to land in the 20 acre field across the road.  So you just walk across the road while preparing to land, and there is plenty of space.

The best winds here for creating lift to soar in are south, round to west winds. The best direction is a south westerly.

This is a very nice slope.

 Please email me your info about where you fly, so I can include it..  n o r m _ f l y e r @ y a h o o . c o . u k
