| What is Slope Soaring? |
The Ruined Castle, Kinsale, Co Cork - South - west facing slope
Access to Kinsale Head via the famous Golf Course is difficult. This slope is nearby, not at the Head, but at the ruined castle. To fly here - launch off the slope and fly. There is no convenient landing place right at the launch place, but permission exists to land in the 20 acre field across the road. So you just walk across the road while preparing to land, and there is plenty of space. The best winds here for creating lift to soar in are south, round to west winds. The best direction is a south westerly. This is a very nice slope. Please email me your info about where you fly, so I can include it.. n o r m _ f l y e r @ y a h o o . c o . u k |
