Mountains RC Slope Soaring
& PSS (Power Scale Soaring) Resource
The website for RC model glider and power radio control model plane modelling community in the Dublin and Wicklow & Irish Mountain slopes.
Slope, Bohernagore West, Knockmealdown
Another slope in the Knockmealdown Mountains (SE of Galtee Mountains), and well known as a popular scenic viewpoint is "The Vee".
The Vee’ refers to a V-shaped turn on the road leading to a gap in the Knockmealdown mountains. The Vee itself is on the Sugar Loaf, but the pass from Tipperary to Waterford runs between Knockaunabulloga, and the Sugar Loaf.
This location has been used by paragliders, so if somebody is "up there", never launch a model plane in proximity.
Due to the location
several wind directions work well.
Please email me your info about where you fly, so I can include it. n o r m _ f l y e r @ y a h o o . c o . u k
