Tountinna, Killaloe,  Co Tipperary - west facing slope

Pic awaited

This gliding flying site is on the slopes of Tountinna, a 465 metre mountain on the eastern shores of Lough Derg. Tountinna is part of the Arra Mountains. the view west over the lough and the surrounding region is super.

All of the essential ingredients for really great slope soaring are present. A number of slope variations viable for different wind directions. A smooth slope, the absence of trees. Nice heather and grass to land on. The road from Killaloe goes past the important area.

This is one of Irelands important slopes, and models of all types and sizes can be flown here.

 Please email me your info about where you fly, so I can include it..  n o r m _ f l y e r @ y a h o o . c o . u k
